Description
Up for grabs is a vintage tandem mountain bike from 1993. It is Specialized Deja Two that was bought brand new from Bicycle Sport Shop in 90s for 50, equivalent to ,574.13 today. It has spent the majority of its life in a shipping container, with only sporadic outings to the coffee shop and back. The bike just got tuned up and everything on it work as should. Shifting is crisp, brakes engage well, bearings are in solid shape and tires have a good amount of tread left. As far as I'm aware, the only original parts on this are the frame, fork, drivetrain, seat posts and brakes. Wheels, handlebars, saddles, tires and pedals have been updated over time. The frame is a work of art with beautiful welds, all handmade here in the USA. The teal and orange combination shines in the sun and it is quite frankly a gorgeous bike that is 'almost' good enough for a museum. The frame was allegedly made by Rodrigues Tandems, and as of right now, they start at 50. The frame also comes with a Stoker kit, which is a spare crankset that attaches to the rear seat tube, and helps accommodate kids or shorter adults. The Stoker goes for around 0-0 on its own.
Feel free to reach out with any questions, need for more photos or if you have a reasonable offer in mind. Delivery available at a .25/mile from 78749. Cheers!
