This is a Lionel No. 80 Automatic Semaphore. When a train is outside an insulated section, the light will be illuminated red and the arm will be lowered. In "TIMER" mode, the train will stop each time it enters the insulated section. After a short adjustable time, the semaphore arm will rise and show green and the train will move again. When the train exits the insulated section, the arm will drop again and the red light will show. The "SLOW-FAST" knob is used to adjust the amount of time the train waits in the insulated section. In the “CONTINUOUS” mode, the train will not stop in the insulated section.  The original instructions are included.  It is in like new condition and has been tested and it works properly. It is 15” tall
This remake of the Lionel prewar 80 semaphore was made by MTH and will work with any 3-Rail track system.  The insulators needed to set up the insulated section are not included.
