This listing is for the exact authentic Indonesian post-medieval Palembang Tin Pitis coin that you see in the photo. The Palembang Tin Pitis was the official coinage of Indonesia under the Palembang Sultanate from the mid 1600’s through the early 1800’s. This appears to be an early example, and is likely from the 1600’s or early 1700’s. As its name suggests, this coin is made of the metal tin (which makes it very easy to bend). This particular coin lot was part of a hoard that was found in the ruins of an Indonesian shipwreck. It is an incredible piece, and would make a perfect addition to any collection! Don’t pass it up!
NOTE: Certificate Of Authenticity is not included (as we are wholesalers and cut every non essential expense to be able to offer some of the best prices in the world).
